This Academy is a church school trust. The Diocese of Guildford appoints representative members who in turn appoint the Directors of the Academy from the local community and parish.
Directors are also known as Governors. The Members' and Directors' roles and responsibilities are defined in the Articles of Association.
The Members and the Board of Directors are responsible for the strategic direction of the Academy and will be consulted by the Headteacher as appropriate. Directors will monitor and challenge the standards of education within the school.
The Directors of Pyrford Church of England Primary School are a group of committed, hard working volunteers who support the school not only through their attendance at meetings, but through their presence at academic, social, cultural and sporting events.
The Board of Directors carry out their duties through two main committees: Efficiency (finance, personnel, premises) and Effectiveness (standards and curriculum, safeguarding and admissions & ethos)
