Pyrford Church of England Primary School belongs to The Newark Trust.
The Diocese of Guildford appoints representative Members of the Trust, who in turn appoint the Trustees and the Governors of the School from the local community and parish.
The roles and responsibilities of the Members, Trustees and Governors are defined in the Articles of Association.
The Members and Trustees are responsible for the strategic direction of the school and will be consulted by the Headteacher as appropriate. Governors will monitor and challenge the standards of education within the school.
The Governors of Pyrford Church of England Primary School are a group of committed, hard working volunteers who support the school not only through their attendance at meetings, but through their presence at academic, social, cultural and sporting events.
Currently, Governors carry out their duties through two main committees: Efficiency (finance, personnel, premises) and Effectiveness (standards and curriculum, safeguarding and admissions & ethos)
